á
Students with disabilities are those students who are unable to have their educational needs met in a regular class without special education or related services.á Classifications of these students, considered exceptional children, include those who are autistic, deaf or hearing impaired, emotionally disabled, learning disabled, mentally disabled, multi-disabled, other health impaired, orthopedically disabled, preschool with a disability, speech/language impaired,á traumatic brain injured, and visually impaired.á The Special Services Department provides numerous instructional programs to meet the educational needs ofá individual students.

Orangeburg Consolidated School District Four
strives to ensure that students with disabilities develop mentally, physically, and emotionally through the provision of a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) that has been individualized and developed in the least restrictive environment.á Service models include inclusion, itinerant, resource, and self-contained.á
